There are a number of different types of appointment which can be booked to suit differing circumstances
1. Advance Bookings
GP and Nurse appointments are usually available up to 3 months in advance. If you wish to ensure you see the same GP or nurse then we would advise advance booking where possible.
2. Same day appointments
There are a limited number of appointments with GP's available each day which are intended for patients with acute illnesses which have very recently developed. As these appointments are limited they are not intended to use for reviews of ongoing chronic conditions.
3. Urgent appointments
If you feel that you need to see a doctor urgently please advise the receptionist - as it is important that you are directed to the right person you will be asked for some details regarding your reason for seeking an urgent appointment.
4. Telephone appointments
Many appointments can be avoided by speaking to a GP or Nurse on the telephone. This does not preclude you from having an appointment and the GP or Nurse you speak to will advise if this is necessary. If you would like a telephone appointment please advise reception and to ensure that you speak to the right person you will be asked some general information about your condition.
Please be aware that due to other commitments the clinicians have it will not be possible to specify an exact timescale to call you back.
5. Early appointments
Wednesday 07:30am to 08:30am with a GP.
6. Home Visits
