Ambulance transport to hospitals and clinics is available to those patients who are unable to attend their appointments via their own methods of transport.

If you need to book an ambulance please give your surgery as much notice as possible to make the booking as most ambulance bookings are now done via the computer.
Please note we are allowed to choose 3 drop off times at the hospital/clinic which are

  • 9:30 am
  • 10:30 am
  • 2:00 pm

The ambulance can pick patients up from home as early as 8am for a 9:30 drop at hospital and from 12 noon for a 2pm drop at hospital. Please be aware of these times and be ready if the ambulance arrives.

Please have all the information to hand when booking your ambulance we particularly need to know the clinic your will be attending and if you wish a relative to accompany you.

Due to the high volume of patients using ambulance transport there could be a long wait at the hospital for your return journey home.
